The construction of the first cottage on the current site of the Vrbická cottage began in 1936 and was the work of the KČST section in Liptovský Svätý Mikuláš. It found its place in a beautiful skiing environment at the foot of Chopok and Poľana in the Demänovská valley at an altitude of 1113 meters. It was designed by Juraj Povolný and the construction was led by Ján Kapsiar, with the master carpenter Ján Galo and his sons Milan and Dušan from Bodice.

The cottage had two common dormitories and two rooms. It was open year-round and at its first opening it was named Ján Pálka’s cottage. The first caretaker was Mária Brtáňová.

In 1938, due to the increase of tourists and skiers, a restaurant and kitchen were added, with materials and food being carried from the Demänovské caves on backs. Next to the Vrbická cottage the Mikuláš cottage was also built and opened in 1950 and that is when our story began...

Mikulášska chata

One of the oldest cottages in the Demänovská valley, Jasná, built in 1950. In 1995 and 2005, it was completely renovated without interfering with the external Tatra architecture. The reception, restaurant, cafe, summer terrace, children's corner and ski room are part of it.

Vrbická chata

In the past, Pálkova's cottage from 1939 stood here, the site of the competition for the Grand Prize of the Demänovské caves, then the "Peklo" wine bar, a famous place for an evening meeting in Jasná. Today, this part of the hotel from 2009 is connected to Mikulášská chata by an underpass and one of the most beautiful wellness centers in Jasná with a view of Vrbicke lake is located here.

Separate apartments

You can find these 5 apartments in a quiet place with a direct path to Vrbické lake. This department with a pleasant living room and a kitchen on the ground floor, a bedroom with accommodation on the first floor is for everyone who likes independence. There is a grill and outdoor seating, a room for a bicycle in the summer and a ski room in the winter.
